New Jersey’s law legalizing sports gambling conflicts with federal statutes, a U.S. appeals court in Philadelphia ruled Tuesday, temporarily barring that state’s Legislature’s and its governor’s attempts to expand gambling in the state.

Caesars Entertainment Corp. (CZR), the largest owner of casinos in the U.S., will offer real-money online poker in Nevada starting Sept. 19, becoming the second operator to do so since the state legalized Web gambling in February.
The game will be marketed under Caesars’ World Series of Poker brand, the Las Vegas-based company said today at a briefing. The announcement coincides with plans to raise as much as $1.18 billion by selling stock in Caesars Acquisition Co., an entity that will own a stake in the online gambling business, as well as casinos in Las Vegas and Baltimore.

Tons of apps. Apps would be written for the cloud, not a particular phone, similar to how PC cloud apps run in the browser on any PC like Windows, Macs or Linux.
Affordable phones: when the app runs in the cloud, the phones wouldn't need fast processors or a lot of memory, which would make them cheaper to produce...(more)
