The New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement revealed that on one day alone – Thanksgiving Day – 5,000 online gamblers opened accounts with Atlantic City casinos to enjoy their games over the internet.  A total of nearly 40,000 accounts have been opened since the Garden State launched its new online gambling industry on November 26th.  It has been noted that punters are able to open accounts at all casinos, which means that the number does not necessarily reflect the number of individuals who have taken their casino gaming and poker games online, but rather the number of actual accounts opened.
