The adopted amendments added two new defined terms to NGC Regulation 1: (1) “debit instrument;” and (2) “prepaid access instrument.”
Who is Sheldon Adelson? Adelson is an American born “dual citizen,” of Ukrainian/Jewish ancestry. He runs the largest casinos in the world, not just in Las Vegas, a city both established and controlled by organized crime, but in Macao as well.
According to app analytics platform Distimo, social casinos are becoming more and more profitable.
The average US consumer spends two hours and 42 minutes a day on mobile devices; 86 percent of that time is spent in apps and 14 percent is spent browsing the Web.
162 minutes — that’s how much time the average American spends on his or her mobile device per day.
Social casino games are one of the most lucrative segments in mobile games, and in the mobile app market at large.

Under legislation passed by the General Assembly, Illinois became the first state in the country to sell lottery tickets via the Internet on March 25, 2012 – offering two games initially under the pilot program: Mega Millions and Lotto.
The closing could be a sign of things to come as the $38 billion U.S. gambling industry bumps up against two unlucky trends, a proliferation of casinos and still-skittish consumers in the wake of the financial crisis.
The return of online poker to the United States in state-regulated environments poses attractive opportunities for operators. But, at the same time, operators need to look to the experience of brick and mortar casinos to anticipate the potential risk of class action and similar lawsuits.
Politicians can’t quite make up their minds about gambling: They approve certain casinos and promote state lotteries but crack down on sports bets and some charity poker games. It seems that government dislikes gambling, unless government gets to be the house.
A second group of Caesars Entertainment Corp. lenders and bondholders said it wants to unravel the deals used to create the company’s growth-oriented affiliate
When Internet poker went live in New Jersey, Nevada and Delaware in 2013, it appeared that it was just a matter of time before other states would follow suit and legalize too, leading to the eventual acceptance — or so poker players hoped — of online poker throughout the U.S.
That has yet to happen.

In a letter to the congressional leadership and copied to all members of Congress, the National Conference of State Legislatures said the organization expresses strong opposition to the Restoration of America’s Wire Act, which was introduced last month by Sen. Lindsey Graham, R-S.C., and Rep. Jason Chaffetz, R-Utah.

Some parts of the country still consider state-sanctioned gambling immoral.
